The Question: Why pay more for something made by a person when a robot can do it cheaper?

The Simple Truth

Because robots make things that are disposable. A machine can make a million plastic chairs in a day, but that makes the value of each chair zero. When everyone has the same thing, nobody values it.

The Evidence

Look at what we keep. We throw away the "perfect" factory-made shelf when we move house, but we keep the hand-carved table from our grandfather. Why? Because the table has soul. You can see where the wood was cut and feel the weight of the work.

Banan exists because we believe that in a world full of cheap, fake things, the "real" thing is the only thing that will go up in value. We back the Unrobotable because you can't program a heart.
